Black had to admit, it was much more easier to talk about league things with this girl, even if they had just met. Something in his gut told him she knew exactly what he was talking about at least. Of course he could talk to Cheren about that stuff when they were younger, but now not so much. As much as Black didn’t want to admit it, being just with his Pokemon could be a bit lonely at times. They shared the same dream and all that stuff, so he guessed he really couldn’t complain. The Prez wasn’t exactly one who really got battles like this girl did, if he was being bluntly honest.
“You bet!!” Black agreed with a wide smile of his own, “You’re definitely on! ‘Course there should be some time before the League tournament starts if I can get the badge before then!” It was still a ways away, and as far as he knew no changes to the date had been made quite yet. His curiosity returned when she mentioned the Battle Frontier and then her own League in the meantime.
“Batle Frontier? Oooh, that’s like that regulated battle place, right?” Black’s brows furrowed together. To be honest, he had only really focused his research on the Pokemon League in Unova rather than other places. He’d heard stuff about the Frontier on the news, but that had really been it.
“Oh—?! Oh!! I’ll catch up real quick!!” Black’s fists clenched together. No way was he gonna get left behind!! Though he wasn’t exactly the fastest— no way was he beating any speed records.
“Eh? Someone beat your record?” He blinked with a head tilt, “I guess I’ll hafta work ten times as hard then! Just be sure you don’t forget!”
Forget? As if! Sparks like this weren’t something that really slipped Sapphire’s mind— a strong opponent was a strong opponent and it’d take a lot to make her lose sight of a target that interested her enough. Black? He was doing a pretty good job of that already.
Of course, whether or not he continued to do so depended on how these things developed— sure, losing the gym match wouldn’t make him a weak trainer…. but winning it meant something else entirely. Sapphire couldn’t handle dragons; at this point, it was a fact and if this kid could?
He’d have a leg up on her.
The thought it both frustrating and exciting in new ways, the rumble of potential under the surface and anticipation coiling in her gut further and further the more she considers it. Regardless, Sapphire Birch was definitely keeping an eye on him…
“Ha! You betcha, guy!” Comes the brash declaration, complete with a playful punch to Black’s arm. “I figure I’m gonna let ya get back t’that prez-chick… but y’better keep your end’a things! We’re gonna meet again an’ ya better be ready for a proper match next time around! Leavin’ a girl hangin’s unforgivable.”

Ghost AU. Takes place when Seiko is still a spirit trapped within Heavenly Host. Her personality as a whole is very remorseful and she is in a good deal of suffering much of the time. Despite this, she is a blue spirit and will not cause harm to others unless provoked. Tagged #♥: v: remnant;
Stylist AU. In which group 2-9 was never formed and Seiko hadn't known Naomi when she was younger. Because of this, the two don't meet until Seiko ends up in the hospital Naomi works at, thanks to a botched suicide attempt that nearly ended her life. Tagged #♥: v: stylist;
Yurikuma AU. Seiko is a criminal bear that has crossed the border to the human world with a single mission in mind--- find the girl who helped her so long ago and reunite with her once more. Tagged #♥: v: honeysuckle;
Seiko stays after school with her class during Kisaragi Academy's cultural festival to listen to Ayumi's ghost stories about Heavenly Host Elementary School. As they prepare to leave, Ayumi decides to perform a "Sachiko Ever After" ceremony with her classmates to comfort Mayu over her upcoming school transfer.
Shortly after they perform the ceremony, an earthquake occurs and opens a gaping hole in the floor that Seiko and her classmates fall through. Seiko and Naomi find themselves trapped together inside the long-demolished Heavenly Host.
While searching for a way out of the school, Seiko discovers to her dismay that she had lost her paper scrap charm from the "Sachiko Ever After" ceremony. She brings Naomi to the school's infirmary to mend her ankle (which she had sprained earlier), and then hears Yuka's voice crying out for Satoshi. Seiko briefly leaves Naomi to find Yuka, but fails and returns to Naomi to find that she has been attacked by a ghost in the infirmary.
Seiko tries to comfort Naomi, but Naomi cracks under the stress she had accumulated in the school and has an argument with Seiko: Naomi accuses Seiko of not taking their predicament seriously, but Seiko argues that she's just worried about her family at home. Their spat ends with the two going their separate ways.
Though hurt by Naomi's remarks, Seiko tries to make up with her via text message from her cellphone. Before she can send it, she encounters Naomi, who has become possessed by the malevolent spirits of the school. Naomi brings Seiko to the girls' lavatories on the third floor and hangs her by the neck inside one of the stalls.
Naomi then wandered the school aimlessly until she regained her senses and, unaware of her actions while possessed, returns to the lavatory to find the hanged Seiko barely alive. Despite Naomi's efforts to save her, Seiko suffocates to death.
Despite this, her spirit works hard to protect Naomi from Heavenly Host's sinister plans. When Naomi's guilt allows her to be nearly completely overwhelmed by the darkening, Seiko's unsent text message miraculously arrives in Naomi's cell inbox, which the latter opens to see. The same message, with a cheerful musical riff, keeps arriving every time Naomi has a guilt-ridden thought or thinks/talks to Seiko, apologizing for what she has done - as if Seiko is responding positively and with reassurance at every point.
With Seiko's efforts, the darkness leaves Naomi as she continues to say "sorry" and "I love you" to Seiko, who responds again and again with the "no hard feelings" text.
This blog takes place in an AU in which Naomi and Ayumi's attempts to revive the fallen are successful and the victims are spared their cruel fate.
Seiko is fortunate enough to not remember the events of Heavenly Host, her mind wiped of all memories of the Sachiko Ever After Charm; the only proof that she had ever fallen victim to Sachiko's wrath is a scar, a straight line that runs across the length of her throat where the rope had cut into her.
Her subconscious cannot be fooled quite so easily, unfortunately.
There are plenty of restless nights where sleep is stolen by graphic and terrifying nightmares comprised of blood, of torture, of death at the hand of a lover. Even if she cannot recall the events upon waking, that doesn't make her any less terrified and unstable.
Perhaps one day she will know the truth but for now, she lives a quiet, normal life with her friends blissfully ignorant to the traumas they shoulder and the grief that still haunts them.

As a young cub, Seiko had infiltrated the human world with her mother with intent to hunt humans. Unfortunately things take a sour turn--- the two are seperated and Seiko is left on her own with little means to defend herself. Her savior comes in the form of a lonesome girl that cheers her up and leads her back to the door to her home, an act of kindness Seiko wouldn't forget even years later.
Finally old enough to fend for herself, she approaches the Judgemen with hazy memories of a past love she just can't seem to let go of. To cross the border as a human, however, is a wish that cannot be granted without a price:
To give up on love, or to give up on home?
Seiko crosses into the human world in disguise after forfeiting her ability to ever return to the bear kingdom; she walks amongst the blissfully ignorant civilians dutifully searching out that friend she holds in the faintest of memories.
