Well, damn. Once the Shinx had completed its move, it was a little too obvious for comfort that Togekiss was disoriented ; and with a disadvantage like this in terms of both typing and luck, it simply added up to a slightly frustrated Hikari. To many a Trainer, such a seemingly ineffective move shouldn’t bother her, yet with Hikari being Hikari, it definitely did. It didn’t cut the Pokemon’s accuracy by a lot, but it was definitely inconvenient. Which of course meant the obvious, to both Pokemon and Trainer : knock it out, and fast.

The majority of the Fairy-type’s moves had an accuracy that might as well be sure as he sky was blue, yet the catch was that half of them were also Flying ; the only two that weren’t were already used, and considering her opponent, she honestly didn’t want to risk it, as unnecessary her fussing seemed. Once again, the Trainer retrieved her Togekiss’ PokeBall, this time only withdrawing said Pokemon back to its capsule.

Alright, return. I’ll use ya later, though — so don’t worry.

Tossing a simple PokeBall into the air this time, Hikari unleashed another Pokemon, this one landing on the ground with a somersault and onto his feet : Ambipom.  Ok — let’s go, AMBIPOM! ” It seemed viable to send out another Pokemon, with speed to compete with her opponent and powerful moves to match, the Normal-type was only seen as a change for the better.

 Use Double Hit!

Launching himself towards the Shinx with excitement clear in his movements, the Long Tail Pokemon extended its extra limbs to smack the Electric-Type’s body.

It wasn’t a knockout, no, but she did manage to back Hikari into a corner… that was a good sign, right? Well, it was something at any rate. Each moment passed was making it increasingly clear that if she wanted to win this, she’d have to give a hundred and ten percent— this wasn’t just any run of the mill opponent and holding back wasn’t an option, not when she didn’t have her main team with her in the first place.

With the speed Ambipom comes at Tsume, there’s little time to dodge or evade and it’s only the thankful fact that the Shinx can take a hit that May isn’t too worried. There’s a hiss and a yowl when the attack connects, sure, but the creature still refuses to topple.

Of course, if the double hits kept on keeping on, that could only last so long.

“Looks like sparks are flyin’ huh? These guys are no joke!” A wry grin tugs at the corners of May’s lips. “Neither are we though…. latch on and give ‘em a wake up call!”

Fangs bare, a double hit intercepted by the clamp of teeth on one of Ambipom’s hands— Tsume, of course, takes a bit of damage from initial impact but not enough to make the attack falter. The Shinx’s body flickers, flashes with sparks before a surge of electricity is loosed onto the opponent.
